Where you work

February 22, 2012
Pictured above is a place my co-workers and I refer to as The Freezer (although technically it's our office). This room, which resides within the walls of the beloved ThomasARTS building, is precisely seven degrees colder than any other room in the building. That's SEVEN, folks. Apparently, the person in control of the thermameter prefers a cool working environment due to common medical reasons that I will not reveal in attemps to preserve confidentiality. So, while said person remains comfortable in 75-degree bliss, me and my comrades shiver at fluctuating temperatures of 67-69 degrees.

Burrrr!

Out of respect for those enduring common medical conditions that cause the body to prefer a cooler homeostasus, we blame the plunging cold temperatures on the large drafty windows...

In other news, I have updates on my job status. As you know, I was blessed with this full-time temporary internship position under the condition that I'd be evaluated for a total of three months, upon which time I'd either be offered a job or sent packing for other adventures. Recently, I have been informed that my full-time internship will last yet another month (until the end of March). The reveal was unexpected, but a woman fresh in her career will take what she can get.

On the other hand, just think: only one more month of living in solitude. This is good news, folks!
