Sister time at the piano

I helped Paige with her piano music tonight, but only because she begged me three times throughout dinner. I was surprised at how natural it felt to sit next to her on the bench, teaching her how to dissect the music one feature at a time. We discussed rythm, tone, theory, and feeling. I quizzed her on notes, dynamics, and other musical citations. Before we knew it we had been sitting at the piano for 35 minutes--double the time she usually invests in her practicing. And to think, all I was going to do was blog stalk. 

I hope she'll ask me to practice with her again. I really enjoyed myself, both the sister quality time and the music.

Maybe some time at home isn't such a bad idea...
