Happiness

Sometimes the best remedy for school-related stress is a visit from family. This last weekend Tanner and mom came to see me. It was wonderful to say the least. We had fun hiking, going out to eat, shopping and seeing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for the Spoken Word. For the record: I love these two. I can hardly believe that Tanner is old enough to be in college and in the process of preparing for a mission. Not to mention that he is more than a foot taller than me. Sheesh! As for mom, she's the greatest. One of the only people who will snap me back to reality. Thanks for coming to see me, mom and Tanner. Loved it!

It seems like just yesterday Tanner and I were jumping on the tramp in the backyard, organizing stuffed animals in our bedrooms, or waking up at 5 AM to play in the sandbox before mom forced us to get ready for school. Tanner and I have always been rather close. He was a quiet kid, while I was probably a little too domineering. However, he has been a great little brother and I'm so happy for the friendship we share.

This is my mom. She's pretty fantastic. Growing up, I would have never considered my mom to be my best friend. After all, it's not like she knew what it was like to be a young single adult at BYU. Fortunately, my attitude has transformed over the years and I'm so grateful to have a mother who tells me when I'm being too dramatic, too ridiculous, too presumptuous, and for that same mother who still loves me anyway. Her guidance and support are muchly appreciated. Thanks mama sita!

Yes. We like to think we're pretty hilarious.

Yep. I was pretty bummed when our hike was over. (Please ignore the scary, ghostly white color of my legs. What can I say? I'm paranoid of sunburns, therefore, my tanning time has reached an all-time minimum).

Thanks for the great weekend!
