Life Gave Me Lemonade

I feel the need to formally apologize for my overreaction yesterday. While I felt I had forfeited my chances at getting the internship, life had other plans. This morning I received an e-mail which read:

Katie,

Thank you for coming in to interview yesterday. We enjoyed talking with you. You are one of our finalists for the position. The competition, however, is very close. We have decided to give each of the finalists a chance to rewrite an article from our Journal to help us in our decision.

Here are the guidelines:

1. Attached to this e-mail is an article in Word format, as well as the final PDF of the published piece.
2. Please rewrite the article into a more popular form, paying special attention to the most important arguments and the ideas that will be of most interest to a general LDS audience.
3. Return your rewrite to me by Tuesday, May 19.
4. Keep track of your hours. The Maxwell Institute will pay you $8/hour for your work on this article.
5. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks and I look forward to reading what you write!

Hallelujah! I'm so excited...and nervous! But when life gives you lemonade, be grateful and drink up!
