...when suddenly, I realized what I had to do. Get up off the floor, wipe away the tears and get to work. Clean the weeks of abandoned dishes. Fold the piles of laundry. Vacuum the dirty floors. Wipe down and scrub the bathroom. Then apply the same tactics to myself. Clean up the clutter accumulated from weeks of inconsistent, even neglected needs; and then keep it up.
No more moping. No more wishing my troubles away. And no more discouragement. My life is a gift, and I only get it for a short time. So it's gotta be good!
I am not alone in this time of transition and ambiguity. It feels that way much of the time, but it is not so. God is near and he is good. Oh, so good.
