Dear Jerusalem,
For memory's sake, I want to remember what I wrote exactly a year ago about my semester abroad. It was my second or third day in the Holy City and boy was I nervous (and secretly excited).
What is interesting is the fact that the more time passes the more changed and converted I feel. My time in Jerusalem has had more of a ripple effect on my life rather than a one-time huge impact.
Thanks for the life-changing experience.
Love,
Me

Dear Family and Friends,
The January issue of 202 Magazine is out. I had a great time writing about a hopeful, upcoming Olympic gymnast and a spotlight on a childhood friend and current blogging phenomena BusyBee, also known as Lauren Brimley. My articles are on pages 38 and 60. Enjoy (if you feel so inclined).
Writing has been a lot of fun for me over the past year. I hope more opportunities will come this year.
Best,

Dear January,
I am currently in the process of finalizing my New Year's resolutions. I've noticed a lot of people expressing anxiety about making sure they have theirs set BEFORE this week ends. Normally I'd be categorized in that crowd, but this year I'm trying not to stress too much about the whole resolution process. Yes, I want to be organized and ready to jump on the energy of a new year, but I do NOT want to be overzealous in my efforts (Disclaimer: Of course, for those of you who did have your goals and resolutions set before the clock struck 12, I commend you. I am in no way considering you overzealous. That caution was specifically for me). I want my goals to feel like something I truly want to pursue. Not something that just sounds good on paper. I want the right mix of challenging yet realistic; productive yet relaxing.
Oh wait...didn't I say I wasn't going to think too much about this? ...dang.
Just doin' the best I can,
kN
Happy January!
