Temples are a BLESSING.
I just finished writing a reflection paper about role of the temple in ancient Jerusalem and how that applies to my life.
After writing my paper, I am reminded that the temple is truly one of the greatest blessings we have on earth. What better place to escape the mental and emotional demons that cloud us each day? What better place can remind us of God's love and compassion for his children? I'm not sure I've ever realized the blessings of a temple-worthy lifestyle, or how fortunate it is to be able to participate in the temple. I mean, I always knew that that's how I should live, but I'm just now starting to connect the dots.
"Let your heart therefore be perfect with the Lord our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day." -- 1 Kings 8:61

I love to see the temple, and I AM GOING there someday.
The temple really is incredible. It is amazing that we have been blessed with such a place despite our many imperfections. God must really love us. Even though I never knew why I lived the way I did while growing up, I am so grateful that I did. I would hate to have missed out on the temple.
